Friday 21 February 2020 09:00am
Network180 Eaglecrest - Grand Rapids
Targets Direct Support Staff

All staff are required to successfully complete recipient rights training within thirty days of hire, and annually thereafter. There are several types of training available, however, based on your role at your organization. This training is designed for employees who work directly with recipients on a regular basis.

Who Should Take This Training: Examples of this type of service includes (but is not limited to): - AFC Homes - CFC/CCI Homes - CLS - Respite - Sheltered workshop/Day program - Clubhouse/Drop-In - Supported employment/Job coaching

Update Rights Training (“Recipient Rights Refresher”): - Individuals providing clinically-focused services, or individuals in organizations that do not provide direct services to recipients may take this training as well to satisfy new hire training requirements, with the understanding that the focus is direct care settings. - Individuals serving any role in an organization may take this training to satisfy annual rights training requirements.

Training Registration Pre-registration for this training reserves a seat in the class only until five minutes before training starts. If a pre-registered attendee arrives after that time his or her seat may be taken by walk-in attendees. The training starts promptly at the time listed, and attendees more than ten minutes late may not be admitted.

Classroom training is 3.5 hours long. Please bring a writing utensil with you since there is a test. Because seating is limited and trainings often fill up quickly, if you are unable to attend for whatever reason please cancel your reservation beforehand.

There is no “test out” procedure for recipient rights training.

This class will be held at our new location: 3310 Eagle Park Dr. NE STE: 100  Garden Level Grand Rapids, MI 49525
